Preview the passage
Scan for details
Skim for main ideas.
Identify the main idea of a passage and a paragraph .
Draw inference and conclusions in a reading passage at paragraph and holistic levels.
Reconstruct the paragraph in English language.
Summarize accurately and appropriately

The students  are able to identify a topic sentences in a reading passage

VI. Stage

  • Pre Reading: Introducing the passage about “Diabetes Mellitus”
  • Whilst Reading: Guessing unfamiliar word about the passage, Asking the students to do some exercises in the text given, Giving some questions to the students to check their comprehension about the major and minor details in the passage about “Diabetes Mellitus”
  • Post Reading: Clarify to the students about the material given related to the passage about “Diabetes Mellitus”
